FAQ
Why pay for a prototype if I can just order the design?
Design without an agreed structure almost always gets redone: change the logic and every screen shifts. A prototype costs $400 and 5 days, while reworking a finished design costs several times more. Put simply, this stage saves money on the next one.
What exactly will I receive?
A Figma file with grey screens, real copy and clickable transitions, opened via a browser link. It’s a working model of your product where you can walk through the flow from entry to the target action. Visual styling is not part of this service — it’s ordered separately.
What counts as a screen and how is scope calculated?
A screen is a standalone interface state: home, catalogue, product page, cart, account. Modals, tooltips and error states belong to a screen and aren’t counted separately. We put together the exact list during the brief, so scope is locked before work starts.
What do you need from me to start?
A general understanding of the task: what the product is, who it’s for, and what action the user should take. We’ll draw out the rest in a 45-minute brief. References, analytics or existing materials speed things up but aren’t required.
Will this work if the functionality isn't fully defined yet?
That’s exactly what a prototype is for. Changing the logic at this stage takes hours; after development starts, it takes days. Many clients realise at the structure stage that half of what they planned isn’t needed.
How many revisions are included and what if I need more?
Two rounds within 7 days of delivery — enough for the vast majority of projects. A round is one consolidated list of comments that we work through in full. An extra cycle costs $150 and adds 2 business days.
Who owns the file and can I hand it to another team?
The Figma file becomes yours with no restrictions. You can continue with us, with your own designer, or with any other studio — the prototype will be clear to them and ready to work with.
What happens after the prototype?
The next step is visual design based on the agreed structure, then development. We offer both as separate services, but there’s no obligation: the prototype stands on its own regardless of who you work with next.
Can I show the prototype to my team or investors?
Yes — it opens via a link on phone or desktop, and nobody needs to install Figma. Everyone can walk through the flow themselves.
What if I'm not happy with the result?
You can see the work in progress in Figma from day one, so there are rarely surprises at handover. If the direction turns out to be wrong, we discuss it at the demo and rework it within the included revision rounds.
