FAQ
What kinds of plugins do you develop?
Typical tasks: calculators and configurators, custom catalogs and filters, admin routine automation, custom post types and fields, small service integrations, store functionality extensions. If in doubt, describe your task — we will say honestly whether a plugin is the right tool.
What is included in the base price?
A plugin of medium complexity: one key function, a settings page in the admin panel, a shortcode or Gutenberg block for output, and documentation. More complex tasks with several modules or external APIs are estimated individually after the mini-spec.
When is a custom plugin better than a ready-made one from the directory?
When ready-made solutions cover 70% of the task and drag along extra functionality, subscriptions, and ads in the admin panel. A custom plugin does exactly what you need, works faster, and does not depend on a third-party author.
Will the plugin break after a WordPress update?
We build plugins on official hooks and standards, so they survive core updates calmly. For mission-critical sites we recommend the maintenance add-on — then we monitor compatibility after every release ourselves.
Will the plugin slow down the site?
No: the code loads only where it is used, database queries are optimized, and there are no extra scripts. That is the main advantage of custom development over universal “all in one” plugins.
Can you extend our existing plugin?
Yes, but that is a separate task: first we review the code and assess whether it is safe to build on. Sometimes extending someone else’s code costs more than developing from scratch — we will tell you honestly after the audit.
Who owns the plugin code?
You do, fully: we hand over the source code without obfuscation or license restrictions. You can develop it with your own team or another contractor.
What do you need from us to start?
A description of the task in your own words: what the plugin should do and who will use it. Then access to the site or a test environment. We will write the spec ourselves — for your approval before the start.
Can we publish the plugin on WordPress.org or sell it?
Yes, the code is yours — do whatever you want with it. Preparing it for directory publication (code requirements, readme, screenshots) is available as an add-on service.
Are revisions included in the price?
Yes, 2 rounds of revisions within 7 days after delivery. The functionality is fixed in the mini-spec before the start, so the final revisions usually concern details rather than logic.
