FAQ
Does my site need GDPR compliance if the company is not in Europe?
Yes, if people from Europe visit your site. The regulation is tied to where the user is, not where the company is registered. CCPA works the same way for California residents. If you run ads to those markets, a consent banner is required.
What happens if I do nothing?
In practice the most common scenario is not a fine but advertising trouble: Google and Meta require Consent Mode to serve European audiences, and without it campaigns get limited. GDPR fines are mostly issued to large companies, but a user complaint can land on anyone.
How long does the work take?
4 days. The first day is an audit of what the site collects today, then the banner setup and script blocking, and the last day is testing three scenarios plus the report. If you need it sooner, we take your project as priority and finish within 2 days.
Will I lose analytics data because of the banner?
Everyone loses some data — that is unavoidable, since a share of visitors declines. But Consent Mode v2 sends Google aggregated signals even without consent, so conversions and audiences keep working. We show you the before and after difference in GA4.
Are you lawyers? Who is responsible for the policy texts?
No, we do the technical part. The Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy are built from proven templates adapted to your type of business, with the real services running on your site filled in. If your niche is sensitive, the final review is best done by a lawyer.
How is GDPR different from CCPA?
Simplified: GDPR requires consent before data is collected, CCPA requires the option to opt out afterwards. So we configure the banner to satisfy both: European visitors get the choice before scripts run, and US visitors get a do-not-sell link.
Will the banner ruin the look of my site?
The banner is styled in your site’s colours and fonts, with no third-party branding. On mobile we use a compact version so it does not cover half the screen. It shows once and the choice is remembered afterwards.
I already have a plugin with a banner — is that enough?
Usually not. In 90% of cases the banner is just for show while Google Analytics and Pixel fire the moment someone lands on the site. That is exactly what counts as a violation. We check your current banner and tell you whether tuning it is enough instead of installing a new one.
What do I do when a customer asks to delete their data?
Your site gets a request form plus a short instruction on what to do next: where to find that person’s data, how to delete it from the site and what the response deadline is. Requests arrive in your inbox.
What access do you need?
Site admin panel with administrator rights, plus access to Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. If you use a CRM or an email service, tell us which ones so they are covered in the policy. Everything is agreed upfront.
