FAQ
Who needs a separate backend?
Anyone who already has or is building a frontend or mobile app but has no server side: API, database, authentication, logic. Or anyone outgrowing no-code tools and builders and needing a proper server for their product. If you need the whole product, see MVP Development.
What can be built in 50 hours?
Typical tasks: an API for a mobile app with sign-up, profiles and core data; a server for a marketplace with products, orders and payments; a backend for a SaaS with plans and roles; replacing a no-code backend with your own. Up to 10 entities and one integration.
How long does the work take?
25 days. Week one is the database schema and the list of API methods, which you approve. Then two weeks of development with tests, and the final days are deployment, documentation and handover. If you need it faster, we take your project as priority and finish within 12 days.
What if the hours run out?
We see it at the schema stage and say so right away. Then there are two options: narrow the scope to the most important methods, or buy extra hours in blocks of 10 or 20. The method list is approved in advance, so there are no surprises with scope.
Laravel, Node.js or Python — which do you choose?
For the task and for your team. Laravel is fast for classic business applications, Node.js for real-time and high load, Python when data or AI work is involved. If you already have developers, we take their stack. We tell you upfront and explain why.
Will you build the frontend too?
Not in this package — it is about the server side. But we document the API right away so your frontend team can plug in without questions. If there is no frontend at all, there is the MVP Development package where everything comes together.
Will the backend handle growing load?
We build the architecture so that scaling does not require a rewrite: database indexes, caching, queues for heavy tasks. The real limit is shown by load testing — it is available as an add-on.
How do you hand the API over to another team?
Documentation in Swagger or a similar format, request examples, a test environment with data and access. Plus a short description of how to deploy the project from scratch. Your team or contractor plugs in within a day.
What do I get at the end?
A working backend on your server, API documentation, the database schema, tests, source code and a report on hours spent. Everything on your accounts; development continues with us or with anyone else.
What access do you need?
A product description or a technical specification, mockups or a description of screens if the frontend is already being designed, access to the server or hosting and to the service we integrate with. Everything is agreed upfront.
