What exactly counts as "other"?
Anything that does not fit other packages: a data processing script, a scraper, a browser extension, a plugin for a niche platform, data migration between systems, fixes in a project after another developer, a small tool for your team. If in doubt, describe the task and we will tell you whether it belongs here.
What can be done in 20 hours?
Typical examples: a script that reconciles data between two systems every night; a catalog scraper into a spreadsheet; a browser extension with one function; improvements to someone else’s project with a list of 5-8 fixes; data migration from an old system to a new one. One task per package.
How long does the work take?
10 days. The first 1-2 days are task review and a plan that you approve. Then development with a weekly report, testing and handover. If you need it faster, we take the project as priority and fit into 5 days.
What if the hours run out?
We see it at the plan stage and say so right away. Then there are two options: narrow the scope to the essentials or buy extra hours in blocks of 10 or 20. The decision is yours.
Do you work with someone else's code?
Yes. First we look at the code and tell you honestly what state it is in. If the project is large or tangled, we offer an audit with a list of risks as an additional service, so the package hours are not spent on figuring it out blindly.
Which stack?
PHP, Python, Node.js, JavaScript and others. We pick the one already in your project or the one that fits the task best. If the stack is rare, we tell you before the start whether we take it on.
How is this different from Custom Back-end or Front-end?
Those packages are for a full server side or interface from 50 hours. This one is for small and non-standard tasks where you need a developer for 20 hours without a big project. If the task grows, we move it to the matching package and credit the hours already spent.
Do I need a technical specification?
No. It is enough to describe the task in your own words or show what you have now. We write the plan with an estimate ourselves and approve it with you before the start.
What do I get at the end?
A working solution on your servers or accounts, source code in your repository, a launch guide and a report on hours spent. All of it is yours.
What access do you need?
A description of the task or a person who knows it, access to the repository or code, access to the server or services we work with. Everything is agreed upfront.
