FAQ
Why do a moodboard if I can start on design straight away?
So you don’t have to redo finished screens over matters of taste. Agreeing a direction on a palette and a few elements takes two days; redrawing an interface that’s already been designed takes weeks. A moodboard turns “I don’t like it” into a concrete conversation before the first screen even exists.
What exactly will I receive?
A Figma file with two directions. Each one includes a colour palette with HEX codes, a typography pairing with weights, sample UI elements, photography and graphics references, and a short explanation of the thinking behind it.
How is this different from a Pinterest board?
Pinterest collects what you like; a moodboard collects what works for your task. We start from your audience, your market and how competitors position themselves, and every element comes with reasoning. The result is a working reference with specific colour codes and typefaces — not a mood.
What do you need from me to start?
An understanding of your product and audience: who it’s for, what impression it should make, who you’ll be compared to. If you have a logo, brand guidelines, or examples of what you do and don’t like, send them over — it speeds things up considerably.
What if I don't like either direction?
We discuss at the demo what specifically didn’t land and work it through within the included revision rounds. One round is usually enough — with concrete feedback, the direction sharpens considerably.
Can I use this moodboard with a different designer?
Yes, the Figma file becomes yours with no restrictions. It contains everything an outside designer needs: colour codes, typeface names and element examples.
Does this include logo and brand identity design?
No — a moodboard sets the visual direction for your product rather than creating an identity. If you don’t have a logo yet, that’s no obstacle: a direction can be built for a future brand too.
How many revisions are included and what if I need more?
Two rounds within 7 days of delivery. A round is one consolidated list of comments that we work through in full. An extra cycle costs $60 and adds 1 business day.
What happens after the moodboard?
The next step is designing screens based on the chosen direction. That’s a separate service, but the moodboard stands on its own — you can hand it to any designer as a working reference.
